Project Terra Ecology was launched in the middle of 2005, when in the Tver’ region accident occurred on the October Railway. On that day, derailed 26 of 60 tanks with oil, about 20 of them overturned. As a result of the incident spilled about 300 tons of oil. Specialists in emergency situations are faced with the fact that the spill occurred on a hill. Near was a river and heavy equipment sank in the wet ground and could not find support. In this situation, the existing methods of oil recovery, including sorbents, were not enough, and emergency response team was unable to timely and accurately cleanup. A few years later the state of ecology environment reminiscent of the accident.

The absence of modern environmentally friendly solutions for oil and petroleum products spills and served as the main motive for the development of Terra Ecology, which was founded in early 2007 specifically to solve environmental problems in the industry. The main direction of activity was the implementation of environmentally clean absorbents for oil petroleum products spills in Russia.

Starting from a reference point until 2007 formed a team of associates, analyzed the market of oil and chemicals spill response solutions. In early 2007 the company identified the optimal solution for the spill response and organized the purchase of a trial batch of the sorbent on the basis of Canadian sphagnum peat moss.

Most of 2007 the company was participating in the research and testing products, receiving permit documentation for the implementation and use of absorbent in the Russian Federation. In the autumn of 2007 the company began to actively use marketing communications to create a logistics system, and its employees spent an enormous amount of business trips. In December 2007 the company received all the possible permissions and signed the first contract for supplying to a major oil company.

In 2008 the company concluded contracts of large supplies of absorbents and actively participates in public tenders of large oil corporations.

In early 2009 Terra Ecology is a research and opens up his own production.
The company started to expand the scope and actively began to solve the problems with containment and spill response of aggressive hazardous chemical substances such as acids and alkalis.
At the end of the year became the official dealer for the supply of specialized machines for remediation of oil contaminated lands and waters.

In 2010 the Company concluded agreements with several major partners and due to this became a supplier to major manufacturers in various industries.
